John McCaig & Sons is committed to fulfilling its duties as an employer to protect Health, Safety & Environment of its employees, visitors and others who may be affected by our business activities, so far as reasonably practicable. Health and Safety is regarded as a fundamental and integral element of the way in which John McCaig & Sons operates.

John McCaig & Sons objective is to provide and maintain safe working practices, safe working environments, safe equipment and to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation.

In order to meet its legal obligations, John McCaig & Sons will provide adequate and suitable facilities and arrangements for the welfare of employees.

Workplaces, work activities and work conditions will be maintained so as to be, as far as reasonably practicable, free from risk to both physical and mental health and well being. Information, instruction, training and supervision will be provided to ensure that all work activities are conducted in a safe manner.

To promote and maintain a positive culture and safety behaviours, directors, managers and employees will be expected to recognise their duties, fulfil their responsibilities and implement excellent standards of health & safety. In particular, all employees are required to report any health and safety issues that they are aware of that may affect their health and safety or that of others.
